include your bed being turned down in the evenings with a
chocolate on the pillow or when it is cold, finding a hot
water bottle between the sheets and a glass of sherry beside
the bed to chase away the winter chills! There are facilities
for making tea and coffee not to mention the delicious home-made
biscuits to nibble on!
Accommodation
Self Catering accommodation:
Two charming fully equipped cottages that each sleep two
people, situated in a park-like garden of lawns, roses,
flowering shrubs and fruit trees. There are braai facilities
beneath the huge oak tree where guests can relax and enjoy
the fresh mountain air.
Bed & Breakfast accommodation:
A family suite consisting of a double bedroom, bathroom,
open plan room with two single beds, private lounge with
TV and fireplace. Double doors from the lounge and double
bedroom lead onto your own private sundeck with beautiful
winter views of the snow on the mountains. On a warm summer
evening what could be better than a quiet sundowner as
you watch the sun slip behind the mountains. A double bedroom
with bathroom and private entrance provide additional accommodation
for the perfect family getaway.

Conveniently situated nearby all amenities, Arbuckle House
is a true gateway to the Southern Drakensberg. The nearby
Sani Pass, at an altitude of 2874 m remains one of South
Africa's most spectacular mountain passes, and tours can
be arranged for guests, including personalised collection
and return directly to our doors.
The famous Himeville Arms Hotel is just a gentle stroll
away and is ideal for guests looking for an evening meal
in this country hotel. Alternatively, the five star Moorcroft
Manor is situated nearby and offers a distinctly upmarket
dining experience for those seeking a romantic evening out.
The Himeville Nature Reserve is only 1 Km away where you
can view Blesbok and Wildebeest or simply have a picnic under
the trees next to the two trout dams.
There are numerous other activities that can be enjoyed
including squash, tennis, golf and hiking trails where you
can view the San Rock Art, or just drink in the beauty of
the surrounding area. Horse riding, mountain biking, swimming,
birding, trout fishing, river rafting and tubing are also
